At Tomtam Bakehouse, we take food allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements seriously. We are committed to providing cakes that are both delicious and safe for you and your guests.
Allergen Awareness & Cross-Contamination
While we follow strict food safety protocols to minimize cross-contamination, our kitchen handles common allergens, including:
•Cereals containing gluten
•Eggs
•Milk (including butter and cream)
•Nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, and pistachios)
•Soya
•Sulphur dioxide (found in dried fruits)
•Sesame seeds (if requested)
Although we take great care in ingredient selection, storage, preparation, and cleaning, we cannot guarantee that our cakes are completely free from trace allergens due to potential cross-contamination at the source.
Nut-Free Cakes
Many of our cakes do not contain nuts; however, some cakes and fillings do, and all macarons contain ground almonds. While we clearly label nut-containing products on our menu, please be aware that our kitchen is not a nut-free environment. If you or your guests have severe nut allergies, we strongly recommend discussing your needs with us before placing an order.
Gluten-Free Cakes
We offer delicious gluten-free sponge cakes made with Gluten-free flour and, in some cases, ground almonds. Because our kitchen handles gluten-containing ingredients, we cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free environment, but we take all necessary precautions to reduce cross-contact.
